From April 12 to 17, 2026, the Wassergspreng Federal Scout Center became a gathering place for 45 dedicated individuals and activists.
In four different courses , participants engaged in an in-depth exploration of key topics related to civil society and political organizations. The focus was on learning and testing tools, methods, and skills —regardless of the specific field or organization in which the participants are active.
This year’s program offered the following four courses:
- Media Relations
- Organizing (Community and Labor)
- Strategy and Campaign Planning
- Alliance-building
The courses were designed to be highly practical, with a focus on direct applicability in various contexts. Participants practiced their skills through simulated press conferences, real door-to-door conversations, and the development of a concrete campaign plan.
To support the application of these concepts in participants’ own practices, a so-called “Transfer Lab” was also held: a three-hour workshop that provided an opportunity to develop concrete next steps for their own organizations.
In addition to the main topics covered, networking also played a central role. The participants came from more than 20 different organizations and took advantage not only of the courses but also of the time they spent together during the supporting program, in the dormitories, and during their free time to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and gain new perspectives.
As a place for coming together, the Impuls Academy is an important source of motivation, inspiration, and renewed energy. It plays a key role in strengthening long-term commitment to socio-ecological movements. For one week, participants were able to step away from their daily routines, exchange ideas with like-minded people, and build a foundation for their long-term commitment.
The Impuls Academy was organized by a team of five in collaboration with the organizations humus and radius . On site, the team was supported by additional volunteers.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the trainers, participants, organizers, volunteers, and donors. It takes a whole village of kind, energetic, and motivated people to make an event like this possible, and we are grateful for every single contribution that has made the Impuls Academy such a wonderful place for the third year in a row!
And now it’s time for us to get to work on the Impuls Academy 2027 🙂
